Education

Field Trips

Our typical field trip education experience is 2 hours long. Groups receive an in-depth educational tour and general farm exploration time. Topics of discussion or activity will be catered to your student group. In the past we have hosted farm clean-ups for community service, environmental studies students, goat yoga physical education, scouts, and future farmers! You may bring your own food and drink but we ask that no one bring any outside animals. Everyone must wear closed toed shoes and bring their own medication with their parent or guardian to administer (especially for allergies). A typical cost is $400 for up to 20 students. If over the cost breaks down to $20 per student and $5 for parent/adult chaperone.

Agriculture and Aquaculture

Our Farm is located on the water and historically agriculture is at ends with aquaculture. We aim to remedy and change that! Come learn how everything we do not only involves our land but everything outside our fence, especially the water.

Animal Utility, Care, and Health

Each animal on our farm serves at least 2 purposes. Come for a deep dive into each animal’s job and how to keep them in tip-top condition to fulfill their roles. Hear from vets and farmers alike as you learn about our animals and theirs.

Biodynamic Farming

What does it mean to mimic nature? Why are there so many woodchips on Wild Kid Acres? Come learn about natural processes and how to utilize them to create a sustainable and prolific farm.

Grit, Compassion, and Balance

Life is hard! Farm life is no exception. Come join us on the farm to experience the lifestyle and how to overcome the delicate balance between pride, protection, grit, and opening up.

Ethics and Community Impact

We started with no community involvement and now we are overwhelmed with support. Come learn about our growth and how our decision-making process could impact your life and help lead your community. We do not aim to change you, but to grow with you.
